Marc Ganzi - CEO, Global Tower Partners

Marc C. Ganzi is the Chief Executive Officer of Global Tower Partners. Mr. Ganzi was the sole founder of Global Tower Partners (“GTP”) in 2003. As the chief executive of the company, Mr. Ganzi is responsible for all fundraising, banking and M&A activities at the company.

Mr. Ganzi has enjoyed a successful career as a real estate and telecommunications entrepreneur. Prior to the formation of Global Tower Partners, Mr. Ganzi worked as a consulting partner for DB Capital Partners in New York City from late 2000 to the summer of 2002. While at Deutsche Bank Mr. Ganzi was tasked with assisting and overseeing the institutions investments in the radio tower sector in Latin and North America.

Prior to his tenure at DB Capital, Mr. Ganzi was the President and co-founder of Apex Site Management, a company that was the largest third party manager of wireless and wireline communications sites. In January of 2000, Apex merged with SpectraSite Communications to create the largest telecommunications site portfolio in the United States. As a part of the transaction, Mr. Ganzi served as a Group President for SpectraSite for a one-year period.

Mr. Ganzi is also a co-founder of Eureka Broadband Corporation, a leading provider of high-speed data and telephony services to major office buildings in the United States. Prior to Apex, Mr. Ganzi was a partner in AD Development Corporation, a leading real estate development concern in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States where he oversaw $135mm in acquisitions from 1993 to late 1994.

Mr. Ganzi also enjoyed a successful tenure for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Foreign Commercial Service Department as an assistant Commercial Attaché in Madrid, Spain during 1990. In addition, Mr. Ganzi served as a Presidential Intern in the White House for the Bush administration in the office Special Activities and Initiatives for the Honorable Stephen M. Studdert in 1989. Mr. Ganzi has a BS from the Wharton School of Business.






Terry L. Armant - Senior Vice President, Development

Terry L. Armant is a seasoned telecommunications executive with over 20 years in the wireless industry having managed the design, engineering, and construction of over 4,000 wireless communication facilities for wireless carriers and tower owners throughout the United States.

Mr. Armant was previously Senior Vice President, Deployment of SpectraSite Communications of Cary, NC. He joined SpectraSite in August of 1998 as Vice President, Operations having responsibilities for all site acquisition, construction, antenna/tower installation, program management, materials management and site maintenance. As the company grew into one of the largest Wireless Telecommunication Facility owners in the country with 8000 towers and over 12,000 managed rooftops he played an integral role as a member of the senior management team in organizing the company, the acquisition and integration of several companies including Westower and Apex, the acquisition and integration of major tower portfolios including Nextel and SBC, and the development of major BTS programs and the in-building program. He built and managed a team of national specialists with regional offices in California, Chicago, Atlanta, and New Jersey that built and added over 2000 tower and in-building multi-carrier infrastructure facilities to the SpectraSite portfolio.

Prior to joining SpectraSite, Mr. Armant was Director of System Implementation for Metro One of NY (McCaw Cellular) and following the acquisition, AT&T Wireless. In this role, he organized and managed a team of over 150 internal professionals and hundreds of external contractors in the acquisition, design, engineering, construction, equipment purchase and installation, and maintenance of the Wireless Telecommunications Facilities throughout the Northeast markets including New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.

Earlier in his career in the Telecommunications Industry, Mr. Armant co-founded Commstruct Group, a premier provider of turnkey telecommunications services internationally. This company manufactured and provided modular equipment shelters to both MSA and RSA cellular carriers throughout the United States as well as design, engineering, construction, installation, and maintenance services.

Mr. Armant holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology and a degree in Mechanical Technology from the State University of New York.






Frederick Kleber - Senior Vice President, Operations

Possessing over twenty-five years of wireless experience, Frederick Kleber is well qualified to effectively manage the GTP’s site assets. His previous tenure in the manufacturing, carrier, consulting and site management sectors provides a sound basis to understand the needs of his customers, from their perspective. His previous business experiences also prove beneficial in the evaluation of acquisition opportunities.

Mr. Kleber was previously Vice President, General Manager of the Midwest Region of Crown Castle, another site management firm. In this capacity, Mr. Kleber developed a site marketing presence and the management team, which managed 500+ wireless sites in a several state area.

As a founding Director of Engineering and Operations at Sprint PCS, Mr. Kleber led the initial development of the Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Columbus, OH markets. In this role, he successfully championed the staffing, design, construction and operation of three switching facilities and over 400 wireless sites.

Following his tenure with Sprint PCS, Mr. Kleber formed his own consulting enterprise, WireServe LLC. He was retained by an energy cooperative and an independent telephone cooperative to evaluate Sprint PCS affiliate market opportunities. Mr. Kleber advised the executive, engineering and business units of his clients. He also served as an expert resource for several municipalities addressing wireless siting issues.

During his career at PacTel Cellular (now Verizon Wireless), Mr. Kleber served as the market interface for the initial CDMA field trials in San Diego. As Network Operations Manager at PacTel, he successfully led the technical implementation of a PCS trial system. He also directed an engineering team in the design of AMPS, TDMA and CDMA systems for the country of South Korea.

Mr. Kleber also possesses over seven-years of international experience, largely with Motorola, Inc. As an International Project Engineer, his global experience encompassed paging, trunking, 2-way, cellular, PCS, microwave, interconnect and HF systems. Many of his clients were governmental ministries where he often interacted with high level dignitaries. He is nearly fluent in Spanish and Dutch and verbally proficient in German. While at Motorola, Mr. Kleber also contributed to the software and hardware development of several custom products.

Mr. Kleber holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois. His area of concentration was communications systems. He was selected from 50 candidates to participate in a summer internship program with Radio-Free Europe / Radio Liberty in Spain, Germany and Portugal.

Mr. Kleber is Co-Chair of the PCIA Technology Committee. He is also a certified first responder and volunteers his time assisting with a variety of public service and disaster recovery communications activities.

Eric V. Etter - Vice President, Finance

Eric V. Etter serves as Vice President of Finance for Global Tower Partners. Mr. Etter joined the Company in June 2004. Mr. Etter’s responsibilities include oversight of the finance and accounting functions, which include direction of accounting operations, budgeting, cash management, risk management and financial reporting. He is also responsible for the establishment and implementation of the Company’s financial systems, policies and procedures.

While at GTP, Mr. Etter has formed close relations with Goldman Sachs, where the Company negotiated a $100 million senior credit facility.

Prior to joining Global Tower Partners, Mr. Etter spent six years as Controller for Titan Towers where he had overall responsibility for the Company’s financial and accounting administration. While at Titan, Mr. Etter was involved in twenty-nine acquisitions and numerous build-to-suit projects, and forged close relations with equity partner Bank of America Capital and lender GE Capital Corporation. Titan Towers was one of the largest tower companies operating in the Southwest region of the United States and aggressively pursued a roll-up strategy.

Before joining Titan Towers, Mr. Etter spent six years at Pittencrieff Communications, Inc. where he served in a variety of management and financial roles, including Director of Internal Audit and Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst. Mr. Etter was involved in forty-six acquisitions and several divestitures, including the sale of the Company to Nextel Communications, Inc. in November of 1997. Mr. Etter played a key role in Pittencreiff’s Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 1993, raising over $70 million, and was intimately involved in numerous other SEC registrations. Mr. Etter was also closely involved in the sale of over 200 communication towers to Castle Tower, which later became Crown Castle. While at Pittencrieff, Mr. Etter formed close relations with equity partner Fidelity Capital of Boston, Massachusetts and lender Toronto Dominion Bank. Pittencrieff was engaged in the ESMR business and aggressively pursued a roll-up strategy within the industry. Pittencrieff was one of the largest holders of 800 Megahertz licenses in the Southwest region.

Mr. Etter served as a Financial Analyst for GTE Corporation prior to joining Pittencrieff. GTE later merged with BellSouth to form Verizon Communications, Inc. While at GTE, Mr. Etter was responsible for the oversight of the Company’s relationship with Arthur Anderson concerning the audit of revenues. Prior to GTE, Mr. Etter worked in the tax practice of the regional public accounting firm of Armstrong, Bacus and Company, CPAs.

Mr. Etter brings a wealth of finance and accounting knowledge in the tower industry to Global Tower Partners, with over fifteen years experience in the wireless telecommunications industry, twelve years being directly related to the tower industry. Mr. Etter holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Angelo State University.






Timothy J. Culver, Senior Legal Advisor

Mr. Culver is the company's lead external legal counsel. He worked for the company as Senior Vice President from June 2005 to July 2007.

Mr. Culver directed the Company’s legal department which oversees all legal aspects related to acquisitions, financing and ongoing operations. Mr. Culver, along with Mr. Ganzi, managed the Company’s M&A and related financing transactions including the negotiations and drafting of the agreements, diligence and closing.

Mr. Culver also directed the Company’s Asset Management Group which protects the Company’s real estate interests in its various properties, including managing landlord relations.

Prior to joining GTP, Mr. Culver was a Partner in the Real Estate Department of the Boston and Manhattan offices of Edwards & Angell, LLP and served as the company's external counsel from its first acquisition in 2003 to May 2005. Mr. Culver’s practice focused in part on representing tower, communications and media companies in acquisitions and financings. Representative experience includes outside general counsel to a high growth national organization in building CLEC, and counseling various private equity sponsors in the real estate aspects of telecommunications transactions.

Mr. Culver’s practice also focused on representing commercial real estate developers and lenders in the acquisition, development, financing and leasing of a variety of large and complex real estate projects. Representative experience includes land use counsel to the largest land owner in the City of Boston in various complex development projects, counsel to various commercial construction lenders in numerous urban renewal financing projects, and counsel to the developers of various large scale residential projects in the Northeast.

Mr. Culver is a graduate of Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota and Northeastern University School of Law, Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Culver is a member of the New York and Massachusetts state bars.

 

 

 

 

Jane O. Salter - Chief Financial Officer

Jane O. Salter joined Global Tower Partners (“GTP”) in July 2006 as chief financial officer. She is responsible for the finance and accounting, human resources and information technology operations of GTP.

Prior to joining GTP, Ms. Salter was a partner at Ernst & Young LLP, based in the Atlanta and Tampa offices. Her 29 years of client experience includes numerous venture-backed and private equity-backed companies, as well as Fortune 1000 companies. Her industry specializations focused on real estate and telecommunications ranging from cellular tower companies, technology providers to the wireless industry, REITs, developers/operators, homebuilders, hospitality, paging networks, and television/radio groups. Her clients were frequently high-growth, acquisition-oriented companies who executed both private and public capital market financings, including CMBS, other debt, initial public offerings (“IPOs”) and follow-on stock and debt offerings. She is also experienced in the implementation and execution of the internal control requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act known as section 404.

Ms. Salter was a part of Ernst & Young’s quality control process serving as independent review partner on other SEC engagements, and internal quality reviewer both domestically and internationally and as a member of the peer firm review teams for other Big 4 firms.

She has been active in other corporate governance initiatives for more than 10 years, including the Board of Directors Network in Atlanta and the creation of the Florida Directors Institute.

Ms. Salter is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in six states. She graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the College of Business Administration.











Keil Sirles - Vice President, Contracts

Ms. Keil Sirles serves as the Vice President of contracts at Global Tower Partners and in that capacity is responsible for the oversight of all day to day lease contract reviews at the Company as well as negotiation of all Master Lease Agreements.

Prior to assuming this responsibility, she was Vice President of leasing and the Company's Regional leasing Manager for the Southeast Region.

Prior to joining GTP, Ms. Sirles was the co-founder and President of HighPoint Telecom Management; which was a leading rooftop management and consultancy firm based in South Florida.

Prior to founding HighPoint, Ms. Sirles was formerly a Senior Regional Asset Manager for SpectraSite Communications and Apex Site Management from 1996 - 2001. During her tenure at SpectraSite (and its predecessor company Apex) she managed leasing and marketing operations of over 7,500 telecommunications sites in 11 states and 10 major accounts with over $10 million dollars in annual telecommunications revenue.

Ms. Sirles has completed over 500 telecommunications transactions including rooftop, riser, raw land and tower sites and developed over 50 standard license and master lease agreements between major carriers and real estate owners during her accomplished site leasing career.

Ms. Sirles served in the site acquisition and leasing division of SBA, Inc. prior to joining Apex in 1996. Ms. Sirles was charged with lease negotiation and supervision of site acquisition field representatives for several wireless careers’ expansion projects.

Ms. Sirles holds a B.A. from Lehigh University and a J.D. from John Marshall Law School and is a Florida Real Estate Associate.









Kimberly Bombeck - Director of Information Technology

Kimberly Bombeck serves as Director of Information Technology for Global Tower Partners. Ms. Bombeck is an experienced IT professional with over 10 years of tower operating experience.

Prior to joining Global Tower Partners, Ms. Bombeck was Director of IT for Global Site Management, Manager of Information Systems for Spectrasite Communications and was the Director of Management Information Systems for Apex Site Management.

Ms. Bombeck holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the Pennsylvania State University and holds numerous certifications in computer systems, networks and applications.




















Dagan T. Kasavana - Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions

Mr. Kasavana leads all M&A activity that GTP undertakes including tower acquisitions, rooftop buyouts, ground lease buyouts, land purchases and other corporate development initiatives.

Mr. Kasavana was initially an outside financial due diligence advisor to Global Tower Partners for most of their significant acquisitions and joined the Company in March of 2006 to oversee their mergers and acquisitions activity.

Prior to joining GTP, Mr. Kasavana spent seven years performing financial due diligence, financial statement audits and IPO filings for public and non-public companies at Ernst & Young, LLP. He specialized in serving technology, communications and cellular tower clients.

Mr. Kasavana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Fairfield University and is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of Massachusetts.















Michael J. Belski – Vice President, Development

Michael J. Belski joined Global Tower Partners (GTP) in June of 2006 and now servers as the Vice President of Development. Mr. Belski is responsible for new tower development, re-development of existing sites and assisting in the acquisition of build-to-suit contracts.

Prior to joining GTP, Mr. Belski was an Associate Shareholder with Morrison Hershfield Corporation (MHC). While at MHC, Mr. Belski was responsible for growing the company’s tower engineering services, turnkey tower reinforcing services and core A&E design services within the wireless telecommunication sector.

Mr. Belski’s career in the wireless industry began in 1993 when he joined SBA, Inc., now known as SBA Communications Corporation. While at SBA, Mr. Belski served in various roles, including Field Operations Manager, Director of Sales, Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Select Accounts. During his tenure at SBA, Mr. Belski was instrumental in securing and implementing contracts with several wireless operators and executing 60+ build-to-suit agreements.

Mr. Belski holds a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania














Andrew D. Brodeur - Vice President, Real Estate

Andrew D. Brodeur serves as the Vice President of Real Estate. Mr. Brodeur joined the Company in October 2005. Andrew has overall responsibility for all real estate site management operations, programs and client relations. This includes new client development, client relations and retention and interface between the Real Estate group and other Company divisions.

Prior to joining GTP, Mr. Brodeur spent seven years with Tower Resource Management including one year as company Vice President. In this role, he had over all responsibility for the real estate Site Management division. Other responsibilities included new business development, tower development; site leasing, property management and, ultimately, P&L responsibility for the Site Management Division.

Mr. Brodeur received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Citadel in 1993.



















Mark D. Serwinowski - Vice President, Information Technology

Mark Serwinowski is the Vice President, Information Technology at Global Tower Partners. Previously, he was the Chief Technology Officer at Blue Frog Solutions, the leading provider of ACORD middleware software for secure data transfer, messaging and transaction processing between insurance carriers/underwriters and distributors/agents.

Prior to Blue Frog Solutions, Mark was the Chief Information Officer for Woolbright Development, Inc. and was a crucial part of Woolbright's success across the board, controlling the information needs of a rapidly growing company with multiple offices located throughout the state of Florida.

His team was responsible for the proactive research of shopping center and retail data, the analysis of the company's business processes and the implementation of new technologies that support the company's growth. Mark also led the team that developed Woolbright's Property Information System, winner of the 2005 South Florida Business Journal Technology Award for Best Technology Application. This proprietary technology helps identify new investment opportunities and lease existing properties.

Mark previously headed the Information Systems department at Extended Stay America and served in numerous senior positions at United Technology's Pratt & Whitney subsidiary, where he was recognized for outstanding contribution to the latest generation military fighter engine program.

Mark received a Bachelor's in Engineering from Vanderbilt University and earned a Master's in Engineering Management from the University of South Florida. He also completed post-graduate education at the University of Florida and executive education at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia.











Shawn R. Ruben – Senior Vice President & General Counsel

Shawn R. Ruben joined Global Tower Partners (“GTP”) in 2008 as Senior Vice President & General Counsel. He is responsible for GTP legal affairs. Mr. Ruben brings GTP nearly two decades of experience in providing legal and management services to growth oriented, multi-site companies.

From 1995 to 2002, Mr. Ruben was Vice President - Development & Legal for Extended Stay America, Inc. (NYSE-ESA) from its inception as a public company through the completion of its unprecedented 400 hotel development program in 2002. During his tenure at ESA, Mr. Ruben was responsible for managing the legal affairs for key company functions including real estate acquisitions, site entitlement, construction, loan approvals, litigation and operations.

From 1991-1995, Mr. Ruben served in a series of business and legal positions involving increasing responsibilities for Blockbuster Entertainment Group, including as National Director of Real Estate & Assistant General Counsel. In those capacities, he was responsible for managing the development of over 1500 video stores, company-wide asset management, and all real estate legal matters in the United States and Canada. Before joining Blockbuster, Mr. Ruben practiced law in Florida.

From 2002 until 2008, Mr. Ruben was founding Principal at Corporate Development Services, Inc. (CDS) a leading national legal & management consulting firm. While at CDS he was the key executive for a number of legal, development and asset management engagements for companies including; Burger King, Hollywood Video, Wherehouse Music, Einstein Bagels, Jamba Juice, Ultimate Electronics, and Nationsrent. Simultaneously, from 2006-2008 Mr. Ruben also served as Interim CEO and General Counsel for Access Financial, LLC where he was responsible for all legal, development, licensing and regulatory matters involving the company’s multi-state lending operations.

A licensed Florida attorney, Mr. Ruben is a member of the Florida and American Bar Associations and is a Florida Real Estate Licensee. Prior to obtaining his law degree at Capital University, Mr. Ruben obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from American University.
