Railroad Right of Way

GTP's railroad development business unit is focused on railroad right of way tower development, tower leasing, and right of way asset acquisition.

The GTP Railroad Group is tasked with administering and growing the relationship with Norfolk Southern through tower management, leasing and new tower development along the rights of way. The Group is also tasked with expanding the business unit to include other railroads nationally, amassing the largest consolidation of railroad rights of way available for tower development.  This expanded reach and scope will apply to other class one and short line railroads. Through the NS partnership alone, the GTP Railroad Group has access to well over 20,000 miles of operating railroad rights of way in 22 states.  

The GTP Railroad Group has a:

  • Dedicated staff with vast experience in the space , having constructed and leased over 200 towers to third party wireless carriers on railroad property.
  • Working knowledge of railroad departmental approvals and general safety requirements across multiple railroads.
  • Vast operating history with wireless carriers insuring network deployment objectives are met on railroad rights of way.
